Consultant Profile - Dan DeLapp

Dan DeLapp is an Organization Development professional with over twenty-five years experience helping individuals, teams and organizations improve their performance and adding value to their endeavors. He has designed and delivered programs in leadership development, organization transition, managing change and interpersonal competency. He has been particularly involved in coaching leaders at all levels, leadership succession planning and team based work environments. In addition, he has designed and led organization transition activities such as forming strategic alliances, downsizing, mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to consulting, Dan worked  for 18 years in the energy industry with the Atlantic Richfield Corporation and two years in the high tech industry with SEH America, where he held senior management positions in Learning and Organization Development. In those assignments, Dan has coached hundreds of individuals and groups in areas such as leading and motivating others, interpersonal communications, setting and reaching work related goals, conflict management, influence, strategic thinking, strategic planning and group interaction. Additionally, he has designed and led workforce transition activities that focus on helping leaders and employees successfully navigate complex changes during mergers, acquisitions, downsizings, rapid ramp ups, leadership change and significant product or service changes. In his consulting role, Dan continues his work with individuals, groups and organizations that have a desire to improve the results of their endeavors.

Dan has a B.S. degree in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology from North Dakota State University and has done post-graduate, independent study in the areas of motivation and leadership. He also holds a certificate in Career Development from the University of Washington. In addition, Dan was a member of the adjunct faculty at Alaska Pacific University where he taught organization change and leadership related courses. Dan is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, the American Society of Training and Development and the Organization Development Network.
